The property department of Simrishamn Municipality needed a better overview and long-term planning for energy efficiency across the entire property portfolio – with a clear direction toward upcoming energy requirements.
From individual calculations to strategic portfolio management
With BIM Energy’s implementation, the municipality gained an improved, consolidated and comparable energy picture of the whole portfolio. This created a decision basis for prioritising buildings, testing measure scenarios and working purposefully toward Boverket’s limit values for 2030 and beyond. The energy work can also be linked with maintenance planning, investment decisions and financial dialogue – so BIM Energy becomes a natural part of energy and maintenance investments.
Once the basic structure was in place, we could make more reliable assessments and work according to the goals in our energy plan. Now we have a system that actually holds up over time.
