Simplified Building Energy Modelling with BIM Energy Renovation
You don’t need to be a 3D modelling expert to create your building models for energy analysis with BIM Energy Renovation. We have simplified building energy modelling with automated processes to make it quick and easy for Users.
The Building module contains its own 3D modelling functionality including our innovative “model from the map” feature. This integrated approach ensures a seamless workflow, accurate data, and eliminates the need to invest in additional 3D modelling software. By focusing on essential parameters, our simplified 3D building energy modelling workflow facilitates quick assessments and precise energy performance evaluations for your buildings.
Simplified Building Energy Modelling Steps
Multi-Building Group Feature
The new Multi-Building Group feature in the BIM Energy Renovation module allows users to combine multiple buildings into a single project for a more comprehensive energy analysis on the entire property portfolio.
We have created innovative functionality enabling buildings to be created/selected directly from the map, simplifying the process of adding properties to a project. This map-based selection is particularly beneficial for large property portfolios, allowing users to quickly and accurately define buildings’ exact locations.
By aggregating the energy performance of several buildings, users get a holistic energy evaluation and scenario planning across entire property portfolios. Users get a better understanding of overall energy consumption, identify synergies, and optimise renovation strategies for improved energy efficiency and investment payback. This feature streamlines the management for real estate owners, making it easier to achieve energy performance goals across multiple properties.
Multi-Zone Energy Calculation
The much-anticipated multi-zone energy calculation feature is now available as a beta version in BIM Energy Renovation. For buildings with varied activities, you can divide the structure into different zones, each with specific technical settings (usage, ventilation, heating, cooling). This approach accounts for heat transfer between zones, providing a more accurate energy calculation across the entire building.

Explore the Next Module: Construction
Are you struggling with incomplete construction data for older buildings? Whether you have outdated plans or minimal data, the Construction module automates the process and takes a fabric-first building energy modelling approach. The module considers the building’s envelope (walls, roofs, floors, windows, and doors) as the first stage of reducing energy consumption. You can quickly optimise models and analyse the impact of upgrades to the fabric, in order to realise potential energy savings. Continue your journey with BIM Energy Renovation by exploring the Construction module.
